• National Junior Honor Society
  • The National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) has become a prestigious organization, ranking high among administrators, faculty members, students, parents, and residents of the school community. Its reputation for excellence is the result of years of commitment on the part of everyone involved. Through the NJHS chapter service activities, members maintain and extend the qualities that won them selection. Membership is thus both an honor and a commitment.
  • Membership in this chapter is an honor bestowed upon deserving students by the faculty, and shall be based on the criteria of scholarship, service, leadership, character, and citizenship. The selection of members to this chapter shall be by a majority vote of the Faculty Council consisting of five faculty members appointed by the principal. The chapter adviser shall be the sixth, non-voting, ex-officio member of the Faculty Council.
  • The purpose of the Charleroi Area Middle School Chapter of the National Junior Honor Society is to create an enthusiasm for scholarship, to stimulate a desire to render service, to promote worthy leadership, and to encourage the development of character in students of Charleroi Area Middle School.

  • Our program at Charleroi Area Middle School offers instructional adaptations to students who have qualified for gifted services. These offerings include the use of enrichment activities, projects, leadership opportunities, use of technology, field trips, and/or competitions.
